"making everyday just a little bit fancy"

Customer Photo: MASK EFFORT "Making everyday just a little bit fancy." A customer's lovely creation, a mask that will inspire and comfort.

"Cosmos" A collaboration quilt I got to help Mom with. She used the corner scraps left over from my hexagon spectrum quilt and a thousand buttons, to create this exploding universe.

My very first Kaffe Fassett Quilt. My studio had been packed up for a move and I was going through quilting withdrawal. So I ordered a couple of charm packs from an Etsy shop and fell in love with Kaffe Fassett fabrics! I had never seen anything like them. This quilt changed how I quilt, it was a revelation! Since my machine was packed this was my first hand sewn quilt. Small enough to fit in my suitcase and portable enough to work on in odd places.

"Joy!" Scrap Art Quilt using the pieces leftover after assembling a bed quilt.

Customer Photo: Love how this customer used one fabric to create a fabulously fancy focal point with this bulletin board!

Selling in Person 😁 Well, jane was in person, fancy refused to help! It interfered with his nap schedule.

"Like a Green Olive Tree" Another Scrap Art Quilt using the trimmings from a Crazy Quilt (my mom's first quilt). The backing fabric for the trunk and the leaves and flowers are made from the leftover patchwork.

"Sabbath Rest" Close Up. A quilt that started by cutting out arabesques from printer paper and pinning them to a 10"x15" photo note board and grew to be as big as the couch. I had to travel 80 miles to find thread and put my machine to the test with free motion embroidery.

"Patchwork Garden" Scrap Art Quilt, don't throw out those little pieces. I made patchwork fabric and used it and the trimmings to create flowers.

"The Roots of Love" A custom quilt using improvisational patchwork for the trunk and the border.

"BLAZE" Kaffe Fassett Design Roll Quilt

"Healing Leaves" My first TREE quilt. Everything was cut free hand. I learned a lot and now have an easier way of finishing art quilts. I am still proud of how this quilt turned out! Yeah me!

"Nation Tribe & Tongue YELLOW" 3 quilts deliberately using the same fabrics to create a spectrum of color. Emphasizing one color, each quilt is unique & different from the others while the elements of their design & construction are identical. In a world where we identify ourselves by a minute set of isolated variables we are often unable to see the commonality we share. The unique character that separates one from another can be found & appreciated without diminishing the individual.
